MSHA Awards $250K in Grants

The money is part of the Brookwood-Sago grant program

MSHA announced it has awarded $250,000 to five organizations as part of the Brookwood-Sago grant program. The funding will help develop training programs and materials to better identify, avoid and prevent unsafe working conditions in and around mines.

The five organizations receiving the grants are: Colorado Department of Natural Resources, Illinois Eastern Community College, Oconee Fall Line Technical College, Pennsylvania State University, and the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy.
