3M on May 14 announced the winners of its 29th annual Occupational Health and Safety Scholarship program, which recognizes outstanding students pursuing a graduate degree in occupational health and safety or industrial hygiene. Each winner gets a $5,000 scholarship and attendance to the 2015 American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Exposition, which is taking place May 30-June 4 in Salt Lake City.

This year's scholarship winners are:

  • Danielle Payne, University of Oklahoma

3M announced that the winners were chosen for their extraordinary academic accomplishments, contributions to the profession, and intent to pursue OSH careers, and they were chosen by a selection committee of 3M management and corporate industrial hygienists. "For continued growth and innovation in occupational health and safety, it is essential to support the industry's future professionals," said Nicole Vars McCullough, Ph.D., CIH, 3M's Global Technical Services manager, and also the winner of 3M's 1994 Industrial Hygiene Scholarship Award.
