SiteHawk to Host Ice Bucket Challenge at NSC
The one-hour challenge will take place at its booth 1339 in the expo, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sept. 15.
SiteHawk sent out an announcement Sept. 11 saying it will hold an Ice Bucket Challenge at next week's National Safety Council Congress & Expo in San Diego. The company will donate up to $125 per challenge to the ALS Association to help fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis disease.
The challenge will take place at its booth 1339 in the expo, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sept. 15. To submit a nomination for SiteHawk's ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, visit http://bit.ly/1ufT69l. (The company is limiting this to 20 nominations.)
"We are going to allow attendees to choose whether to accept the challenge or designate a SiteHawk employee (Scott Williams) on their behalf," Karen Griffin, SiteHawk's marketing manager, said in a Sept. 11 email. "If they take the challenge, we will donate more ($100 vs. $50). We are also giving away free towels to all who participate. :) Look forward to seeing you at the show!"
The company provides cloud-based SDS and chemical data management solutions. It is asking expo attendees to visit the booth and nominate Williams, its director of sales, to take the challenge. For each completed challenge, SiteHawk will donate $50 to the ALS Association. SiteHawk will donate $100 on behalf of each conference attendee who participates in the challenge and will add $25 for every pre-registered nomination.
"Thousands of Americans suffer from the debilitating effects of ALS every year," said Williams. "We want to do our part to promote awareness and help fight this disease by contributing to ALS research."
