ISEA's NSC Forum Focused on Confined Space Safety
The Sept. 16 forum at the San Diego conference will feature experts from Scott Safety, Draeger, and Sellstrom/RTC Fall Protection.
The International Safety Equipment Association announced that its annual forum at the National Safety Council Congress & Expo will focus on confined space safety. The forum will take place Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 10:30 a.m.to 11:30 a.m. in the expo at the San Diego Convention Center, immediately after OSHA's "Top Ten" presentation.
Experts from three ISEA member companies will participate in the forum: Bob Vigdor, director of sales & service, gas & flame detection for Scott Safety, will address instrumentation and monitoring; Paul Hatala, respiratory solutions marketing manager for Draeger, will address respiratory protection; and Bradley May, eastern regional sales manager for Sellstrom/RTC Fall Protection, will discuss fall protection.
"Protecting workers who must enter potentially hazardous confined spaces is among the most difficult and complex worker safety challenges," said ISEA President Daniel K. Shipp, who will moderate the forum. "Confined work spaces are everywhere, and all types of personal protective and other forms of safety equipment may be required, depending on the situation."
