OSHA Announces Comment Period Extension for Proposed Injury Reporting Rule
The agency has announced the comment period for the proposed rule will close March 10
OSHA has announced the comment period deadline for its proposed rule that would help improve workplace safety and health reporting through tracking injuries and illnesses has been extended. According to a press release from OSHA, the comment period will close on March 10, 2014, despite being originally scheduled to close on March 8. Comments submitted on March 10 will be considered timely submittals.
The proposed rule aims to change OSHA’s current recordkeeping regulations and add requirements for electronic submission of injuries and illnesses. Currently, employers aren’t required to keep that information.
