Fagan Receives Safety Award
The Builders' Association's Safety Excellence Awards Program honors members with company commitment to safety.

The Annual Safety Excellence Awards Program recognized The Fagan Company, a full-service mechanical contractor, as a first-place award winner in the Subcontractor Division for 100,001-200,000 work hours.
The Safety Excellence Awards Program, sponsored by the Builders' Association, the Missouri and Kansas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, the Missouri Division of Labor Standards, Kansas Department of Labor, and the OSHA Kansas City Area Office, recognizes management commitment, employee training, and program innovation by member companies for health and safety.
The Fagan Company, a subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., provides specialty sheet metal capabilities as well as heating and air conditioning maintenance and installation for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. EMCOR Group, Inc. is a Fortune 500 company specializing in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure, and facilities services.

"We are passionate about the safety of our workers and have made a commitment to the goal of achieving zero accidents, so they may return home safely every day."
Nominees must have demonstrated a commitment to safety, occupational health management, and risk management in order to receive an award. Criteria considered by judges included company management commitment, active employee participation, safety training, work site hazard identification and control, and safety program innovation.
Among Fagan's safety policies are approaches such as the "Zero Accident Program" and the "Be There for Life" program. EMCOR's "Be There for Life" educates employees and their families about safety through workplace posters, company newsletters, and mailings. The Fagan Company has provided service throughout Kansas and western Missouri for nearly 55 years.
