Firm Offers Workshop on Predictive Profiling, Terrorist Threat Mitigation
Chameleon Associates, a Canoga Park, Calif.-based provider of threat mitigation services, is inviting anyone responsible for security in their organization to attend a seminar designed to show how to proactively identify criminal and terrorist MOs, and to form and implement successful, cost-effective threat mitigation processes and procedures. Participants can earn 2 ASIS recertification credits for the course, being held at the Westin Hotel and Spa in Las Vegas, Nev., Dec. 6-7.
The event, aimed at changing mindsets and at scientifically articulating the methods and skills behind terrorist or criminal threat mitigation, will feature a presentation by Amotz Brandes, Chameleon managing partner. Brandes is a veteran of an Israeli Defense Forces special reconnaissance and intelligence unit and former security agent for El-Al Israeli Airlines in Los Angeles. He formed Chameleon's consulting division and developed training programs in "Red Teaming," "Predictive Profiling," and "Security Engineering." His PowerPoint presentation at the event will be given to attendees at the end of the seminar for training use in their own organizations. As part of the registration, course attendees also will receive a CD containing videos presented in the seminar together with other visual collateral material, as well as a copy of "The Threat Mitigation Guide," a reference book designed to help security professionals better map their protected environments and security threats.
