Tyndale Company Partners with Arc Flash Survivor to Enhance Worker Safety

Master Electrician Jason Brozen is the company’s new lead corporate safety and technical trainer.

Master Electrician Jason Brozen—who suffered a severe arc flash injury 14 years into his career—has joined Tyndale Company, a Pipersville, Pennsylvania-based supplier of arc-rated and flame-resistant clothing.

Brozen’s injury resulted from working energized without the proper PPE while installing a breaker at a hotel. The incident left Brozen with severe burn injuries, costing him months of therapy and time off from work as well as an estimated $1.2 million. Now he’s taking on a new role as lead corporate safety and technical trainer at Tyndale to prevent similar accidents.

“We are thrilled to have Jason onboard and excited about the life-saving impact we can make together,” Tyndale’s Vice President of Technical and Corporate Strategy Scott Margolin said in a statement. “Jason’s expert technical knowledge and powerful experience as a burn survivor lend him a unique ability to reach the workers we protect.”

Brozen echoed this sentiment, explaining how Tyndale’s mission aligned with his own. In his role, Brozen will focus on NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B electrical safety training, with a particular emphasis on the role of PPE. Together, he and the company “have the opportunity to save a lot of lives,” Brozen said in a statement.

Tyndale reportedly provides PPE to more than 400,000 workers across the United States and has expanded into Canada.
