Exhibitors to Lend Industry Expertise

In addition to NFPA’s educational sessions, check out some of the exhibitor presentations. Companies will explain the technology development behind some of their latest and greatest fire and life safety products.

On Tuesday, Todd Alford, marketing director - commercial business unit of System Sensor, will present “New Advances in Multi-Criteria Smoke Detection” from 12:15 – 1 p.m. in the Exhibitor Presentation Theatre. The presentation will focus on the progression of fire detection technology and how multi-criteria detection represents the next opportunity to improve fire detection accuracy.

Next, Kevin Dean and Claudio Groppetti of VESDA by xtralis will discuss “A New Horizon for Air-Sampling Smoke Detection: Smoke Detection Plus Gas Detection and Environmental Monitoring,” from 2:15 – 3 p.m. in the Exhibitor Presentation Theatre. The presentation will describe the latest advancements in early warning smoke detection by incorporating gas detection and environmental monitoring into air-sampling smoke detection systems.

On Wednesday, Steve Hein, general manager of Edwards, and Jeff VanKeuven, product manager of Edwards, will present “Broadening the Fire System to Life Safety” from 10:15 – 11 a.m. in the Exhibitor Presentation Theatre. Additionally, Bob Barker, director of Operations for Fire Fighting Enterprises, will discuss the do’s and don’ts of beam detection and take a look at new beam detector technology during “Beam Detection 101” from 12:15 – 1 p.m. in the Exhibitor Theatre.
