Special AIHce 2009 Edition of 'Consultants Listing' Released

The American Industrial Hygiene Association announced the release of a special AIHce 2009 edition of its "Consultants Listing," a compilation that consumers and others can use to search for industrial hygienists and other occupational and environmental health and safety professionals by state and specialty.

"For the past 30 years, AIHA has strived to make available the industry's most qualified industrial hygienists and other OEHS professionals and has provided accurate and prompt services to those who need an industrial hygienist," said AIHA President Lindsay E. Booher, CIH, CSP. "The 'Consultants Listing' offers this information organized by state and expertise to make it easy for anyone to find exactly what he or she is looking for."

The listing provides government agencies, consumers, business owners, and AIHA members with access to 400 companies and 650 individual consultants who can assist in the event an OEHS professional is needed. The list is available online and, on request, also can be provided in a printed, bound version.

Consultants included in the list specialize in areas such as contamination evaluations; airborne particles; biosafety and bioterrorism; asbestos/lead; biological monitoring; ergonomics; indoor air quality; toxicology; expert witness/law; environmental issues; mold; emergency management/disaster planning; risk assessment; and many others.

AIHA members; various government agencies; health and safety conference attendees; members of the media; and a variety of insurance companies, lawyers, and museums have received copies of the AIHce 2009 edition of the "Consultants Listing." This edition boasts the highest circulation of the year, as it is distributed to all attendees at AIHce, and an expanded list of other organizations.

The online version of AIHA's "Consultants Listing" is continuously updated, so companies and individuals can be included in the list at any time. For more information, please visit http://www.consultantslisting.org or contact Adrienne Ford at (703) 846-0763 or [email protected].
