ASSE is offering a CD, Proceedings of the 2007 ASSE Professional Development Conference, as a helpful tool for safety, health, and environmental professionals and businesses to use in order to increase safety at their workplaces. The disc contains a compilation of more than 200 professional papers from the speakers who presented during ASSE's Professional Development Conference in Orlando.
The disc also contains information from four academic forums and six fundamentals of safety and health programs; these include: Improving School Safety and Security; The Myths of Safety; Culture Barriers to Safety, Birdflu Pandemic Planning, Preparedness and Response; Fundamentals of SH&E - Basic Risk Management; Fall Protection; Business Continuity Planning - Surviving Katrina; and more.
"In meeting the safety and health needs of America's workers, ASSE members face a broad spectrum of challenges on a daily basis," said Christine M. Sullivan, chairman of ASSE's 2006 PDC Committee. "From traditional issues, such as power presses and lifting mechanics, to emerging issues involving nanotechnology and bioterrorism, today's safety professional must have an ever-increasing skill set. Having these presentations easily available is a very valuable tool for any business, especially with the wide range of topics it covers. For those unable to make the ASSE PDC, this will help capture some of the valuable information they may have missed."
The price of the disc is $24.95 for ASSE members and $49.95 for non-members. Contact ASSE Customer Service at 847-699-2929 or e-mail [email protected].
