DIGITAL FIRE SIMULATOR

BullEx Digital Safety's fire extinguisher training product, the HotShot, uses an LED panel to simulate flames that respond directly to a trainee's actions. Sensors on the device interact with BullEx's SmartExtinguisher™ to detect where the trainee is aiming and sweeping. The device can simulate class A, B, and C fires at four different difficulty levels. Booth 1842.

        The American Heart Association's Heartsaver First Aid Online with CPR & AED Renewal Course is designed for either first-time or renewal of first aid, CPR, and AED training. The two-part online course provides a time-saving alternative to the logistical challenges of classroom-based training and includes a component and skills session with an AHA instructor. Booth 2015.

          The Construction Institute's new OSHA-funded multimedia DVD-based learning tool, titled "4 High Hazards," incorporates text slides, instructive computer animation, graphics, video, and interviews with workers and safety experts concerning hazards from falls, electrocution, struck-bys, and caught-in-betweens.             Digital 2000's custom online learning projects feature live video that is available in high and low bandwidth. The service has no set-up, storage, or administrative charges, and tracking and reporting is provided to meet users' specific needs.               BullEx Digital Safety

              Training System

              The BullsEye™ fire extinguisher training system from BullEx is designed to simulate the discharge of a dry chemical extinguisher for a completely clean, safe, and effective training experience. The system's digital panel responds to the laser extinguisher as the trainee aims and sweeps. The BullsEye uses a conical laser to replicate extinguisher discharge, making it ideal for training in the actual work environment where an extinguisher might be used. The system features an on-board rechargeable battery and a speaker that simulates the sound of a discharging chemical extinguisher.

                LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING

                The American Heart Association's new suite of Heartsaver™ and Family and Friends™ basic life support training materials reflects the association's 2005 guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care. Incorporating the "practice-while-watching" training method, the student texts feature color-coded lesson maps, an easy-to-reference content design, and a workbook format for easy note taking.

                  J.J. Keller & Associates' new Confined Spaces: Dangerous Places program provides information on employees' roles and responsibilities during a permit-required confined space entry. This program contains general education and helps users to conduct training on the duties of authorized entrants, attendants, entry supervisors, and rescue and emergency services--as specified by OSHA.

                    CRANE SAFETY VIDEO

                    Summit Training Source's new video/DVD training program, Crane Safety: Overhead Operations, uses high-end graphics and on-site footage to illustrate the dangers of overhead cranes if not operated properly. The program complies with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.179 and ASME B30.2-2001, and teaches safe work practices and procedures for cab- and pendant-controlled overhead cranes and wireless radio overhead cranes.
