Glen Raven's expanded line of GlenGuard® FR protective work apparel fabrics now includes fleece and outerwear apparel fabrics designed to protect workers from burn hazards and cold temperatures. All fabrics meet or exceed all major government standards related to fire protection, including NFPA 70E, and are made by blending Ke® SofShield fibers with solution-dyed FR modacrylic fibers.


    Westex

    Insulating Fabric

    Westex and 3M have partnered to produce a new product,Thinsulate™ Insulation FR quilted to INDURA® Ultra Soft®fabric. This insulation is designed to achieve lightweight warmth and comfort;is made from a flame-resistant blend of aramid, modacrylic, and polyesterfibers; and features quality drape characteristics to aid in garment styling.

      FR Fabric

      Milliken & Company's new patent-pending Amplitude™ line of high-performance flame resistant fabrics for industrial work wear are processed ammonia-free and constructed of a cotton/nylon blend designed to help mitigate potential injuries due to electric arc and flash fire exposure, while providing enhanced durability and comfort.


        Kermel

        ELECTRICAL-RESISTANT FABRIC

        Kermel's GlenGuard® protective fabric is NFPA 70E Class 2approved and weighs six ounces per square yard. The fibers used are producer dyed and available in cool blue, navy, orange, red, tan, yellow, or in custom colors at customers' request. The shade is part of the polymer matrix and does not fade with extensive washing or exposure to sunlight.

          DISPOSABLE FROCK

          CMS' disposable, Flavorseal® Frock with apron and sleeves attached is a one-piece barrier control garment. The USDA-accepted, one-size-fits-all frock is ideal for use in facilities with direct food contact; it is made of embossed, 3-mil polyethylene that repels liquids and offers warmth with light weight. It is available in four colors.

            VENTED WORK BOOT

            Michelin Footwear's new line of HydroEdge work boots for heavy-industry workers features an advanced outsole system that is designed for optimal comfort and safety. Incorporating O2F air flow technology, a vent in the midsole allows air to move into the boot while keeping water and debris out.

              FR FABRIC

              DuPont's expanded Protera™ product line of inherently flame-resistant fabrics is specifically engineered to protect against electric arc hazards. The line meets NFPA 70E and the new National Electrical Safety Code requirements and comes available in two fabric weights: 6.5 ounces per square yard for shirts and coveralls, and 8.0 ounces per square yard for pants.

                ARM PROTECTION

                North Safety Products' new cut level 5, EN388-tested Dyneema® sleeve is form-fitting, tear resistant, and designed to stay out of the way and reduce snag hazards. The sleeve's finely knit blend is not bulky, vents heat to remain cool to the touch, is launderable, and can be dry-cleaned. The gray color hides dirt.

                    MCR Safety's Luminator series is designed to provide high visibility and ANSI/ISEA 107-2004 Class II, Level 2 reflective material compliance. The dielectric, mesh-back vest style CL2OC features a 2-inch silver stripe, nylon zipper front closure, six pockets, and sizes up to X4.
