ASSP’s Safety 2024 Conference & Expo Kicking Off Soon in Denver

The organization’s annual event runs from August 7 to 9, 2024.

Safety professionals don’t have long to wait for the American Society of Safety Professionals’ (ASSP) Safety 2024 Professional Development Conference and Exposition.

Celebrating its 63rd year, the annual event brings together safety experts and exhibitors from around the world to engage in educational and networking opportunities. Safety 2024 takes place from August 7 to 9, 2024, at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver. 

Safety 2024 offers attendees over 200 educational sessions, with an emphasis on best practices, industry trends and innovations in safety products. Led by safety experts, these one-hour sessions ensure that there is something for every attendee, covering a broad range of topics such as risk management, workplace violence and AI. Attendees can also earn 1.5 continuing education units (CEUs).

Dr. Jessica Kriegel’s opening session touches on enhancing accountability within team, emphasizing shared ownership and purpose, and setting a collaborative tone for the entire event. The expo features 550 exhibitors, offering the latest advancements and opportunities to engage with companies directly. Special features include the Career Advancement Center, Flash Sessions, and a PPE fashion show.

Networking is also a key component, with tech demos, a Wednesday night social and various meetups on the schedule. Activities such as the Board Walk & Talk and the Speedy Stroll/Fun Run provide informal networking opportunities. The expo and these networking events ensure that attendees can build valuable connections and gain actionable insights to enhance safety practices at their organizations.
