Nominations must be submitted by August 16, 2024 to receive consideration.

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) is currently accepting nominations for four positions on the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health (NACOSH).

According to a recent release, these positions—which advise the Secretary of Labor and the Secretary of Health and Human Services on the administration of the Occupational Safety and Health Act—currently have terms set to expire in 2025. The Acting Secretary of Labor will appoint the new members to serve a two-year term beginning January 16, 2025.

NACOSH comprises 12 members and convenes between two and four times annually. The department is seeking nominations for one public representative, one management representative, one labor representative and one occupational safety and health representative. These positions shape policies and practices that ensure the safety and health of workers.

Interested parties must submit their nominations via the Federal eRulemaking Portal, referencing Docket Number OSHA-2024-0005, by August 16, 2024. Details on how to submit nominations can be found in the Federal Register Notice.
