AIHA Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Institute of Hazardous Materials Management

Under the MoU, the organizations will work on education programs together.

Last week, the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) and the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management (IHMM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The two organizations plan to “enhance and promote the roles of professionals in fields represented by both organizations,” according to an AIHA news release.

Both AIHA and IHMM will promote each other’s offerings and work together on “joint occupational and environmental health education programs,” AIHA said. The MoU lasts three years.

“This agreement provides new opportunities to strengthen our cooperation in continued education and certification maintenance for Certified Industrial Hygienists and IHMM professionals,” AIHA CEO Lawrence D. Sloan said in the news release.
