Communication Matters: Achieving Employee Buy-in and Compliance with New Safety Initiatives

One of the most important parts of rolling out a new safety initiative is communication with employees. In this episode, Blackline Safety's Sean Stinson and Jeffery Fors from Waste Management explain effective strategies to getting employee buy-in and compliance.

I am so excited to bring you today’s podcast featuring one of the most insightful conversations I have had on the topic of employee buy-in, communication and strategies for success when it comes to bringing in new safety initiatives at your company.

For today’s podcast, I interview Sean Stinson, the Chief Revenue Officer at Blackline Safety and Jeffery Fors, Corporate Director for the Landfill Gas Program at Waste Management, a Blackline Safety customer. Before we jump into the interview, I would like to give you a little more information about Sean and Jeffery.

Sean oversees teams including data science, product management, user experience design, sales, client success and customer care at Blackline Safety. He earned a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Calgary in 2002 and has spent nearly 20 years in the safety industry.

Jeffrey has spent the last 18 years with Waste Management. During his tenure, he has held many roles from Field Technician, Renewable Energy Plant Manager and Area level manager with the company. His job responsibilities have focused heavily on environmental compliance, special project management, and safety. Jeffrey earned degrees from Penn State University and East Stroudsburg University with an emphasis in Biology. Additionally, he served 12 years in the U.S. Army Reserves, supported Operation Iraqi Freedom III as a Platoon Sergeant, and is a Bronze Star Recipient.
