DOL Renews the Maritime Advisory Committee for OSH

The Federal Advisory Committee Act requires all advisory committees to renew their charters every two years

According to a report, Secretary of Labor Thomas E. Perez has renewed the charter of the Maritime Advisory Committee for Occupational Safety and Health (MACOSH). The Federal Advisory Committee Act requires that all advisory committees renew their charters every two years.

MACOSH advises the secretary of labor on working conditions in the maritime industry, which includes safety and health standards, injury and illness prevention, training and outreach initiatives, and enforcement initiatives to improve the safety and health of maritime workers.
