National Christmas Tree Lighting Set for Dec. 6

UL, Underwriters Laboratories, is the premier sponsor, with GE Lighting among the other supporters this year.

A leading safety company, UL, is the premier sponsor of this year's National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in front of the White House. It takes place Friday, Dec. 6 at 5 p.m. EST, put on by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation.

A lottery for 17,000 free tickets to the 91st annual tree lighting ceremony closed Nov. 4. But information about the event is available at www.thenationaltree.org.

Supporters aside from Underwriters Laboratories include GE Lighting, Nicolas Holiday, Inc., Hilton Garden Inn Washington D.C.-Downtown, Guest Services, Inc., and Hudler Carolina Tree Farms.
