Time's running out to register and take part in the National Conversation on Public Health and Chemical Exposures, a two-day web forum presented by ATSDR that will take place Jan. 5-6. Experts divided into six panels, three on each day, will discuss how to prevent and also respond to harmful chemical exposures by individuals and communities. Comments will be accepted until Jan. 21.

The dialogue's agenda was posted Dec. 20. Included are panelists' names and brief biographies. The goal of the event is to craft an agenda with recommendations for government agencies and other organizations that can then work on stronger protections. The organizers ask the public to register and then review the discussion topics, the draft agenda, and additional resources offered at the National Conversation site to become familiar with the issues.

The first topic, Preventing Harmful Chemical Exposures, will begin at 9 a.m. EST on Jan. 5.
