AIHA Releases 2009 Continuing Education Calendar

The American Industrial Hygiene Association has announced its 2009 continuing education offerings. AIHA professional development courses are designed to provide practitioners with specialized skills that enhance performance on the job while increasing knowledge and professionalism.

Course participants can earn certification maintenance (CM) points toward the certified industrial hygienist (CIH) certification. They can also earn continuance of certification points (COCs) toward the certified safety professional (CSP) certification and continuing education units (CEUs) for additional professional development.

The following continuing education courses are scheduled for 2009:

Comprehensive Industrial Hygiene

4.5 Fundamental IH CM Points / 3.6 COCs/CEUs

  • March 30-April 3, 2009, Ann Arbor, Mich.
  • Sept. 21-25, 2009, Ann Arbor, Mich.

Fundamentals of Industrial Hygiene

4.0 IH CM Points / 3.2 COCs/CEUs

  • March 9-12, 2009, San Diego.
  • Nov. 9–12, 2009, Atlanta.

Indoor Air Quality Symposium - Building Design Modifications to Maintain IAQ for Climate Change

1.0 IH CM Point / 0.8 COC/CEU (Pending Approval)

  • May 31, 2009, Toronto (at AIHce 2009).

Exposure Assessment Symposium

2.0 IH CM Points / 1.6 COCs/CEUs (Pending Approval)

  • Oct. 1-2, 2009, Vancouver, British Columbia (at PCIH 2009).
