What’s Next? How to Plan Despite OSHA’s Covid-19 ETS Withdrawal

A lot of news has come from OSHA's attempt to protect workers against Covid-19. To clear up confusion, Editor Sydny Shepard discusses the convoluted history of the ETS with Akerman Law Firm Partner Lillian Moon.

If you are interested in listening to this podcast, I am going to assume that you are either an employer, a safety professional or someone who is tasked with the safety and health of employees at a workplace. If that is true, then you have probably been trying to stay up to date on the news about OSHA’s latest Emergency Temporary Standard to protect workers against Covid-19.

But, somehow, the news about this topic just doesn’t seem to stop and there has been even more news to come out since the last podcast episode I did on this topic just a week or so ago. I thought that instead of trying to explain it all myself again, I should bring on a seasoned legal expert who has a much better way of explaining to us how this impacts worker safety across the country.

Today, I have with me Lillian Moon, a Partner at Akerman Law Firm. You may recognize her voice from a podcast episode we did back in October where she laid out everything we may need to know before the ETS was ever published. Now she’s back to help unravel the convoluted story around the ETS and give advice on where employers should go from here.

If you have a topic you'd like us to cover on OH&S SafetyPod, feel free to email us at [email protected].
