The 2016 International Annual Meeting of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society is taking place next month -- Sept. 19-23 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C., to be specific -- and features an intriguing and timely technical program, with 125 concurrent sessions. The range of topics to be covered includes:
- Air traffic management problems
- Ergonomics of aging and obesity
- Security/web page design
- Sit-stand workstations
- Trust in automation
- Unmanned vehicle mishaps
- Warning signs and labels
Seven skill-building workshops are featured on Sept. 19, and almost 90 posters will be displayed during a Sept. 20 reception alongside the exhibits.
