Cal/OSHA Announces 40th Anniversary Conference

A Dec. 5-6 conference at the Elihu Harris Building in Oakland, Calif., will be a celebration of four decades of service by Cal/OSHA. Officials from the state plan agency and its parent organization, the California Department of Industrial Relations, are organizing the conference.

It will be an opportunity for labor, management, and policymaker representatives to discuss Cal/OSHA's role, its accomplishments, and its impact during the past 40 years. Speakers will address Cal/OSHA's present and future challenges, partnerships to improve health and safety in California workplaces, and the vision for Cal/OSHA's future, and the event will include recognition of legislators and other elected and state officials for helping Cal/OSHA improve health and safety in the state.
