Whole Foods Label Mix-up Leads to Recall

The health food grocery chain switched the label on chicken and vegan "chick'n" salads.

Whole Foods, the popular, health-conscious grocery store, is under fire after the labels were switched on chicken salads and their vegan alternatives in 15 of the company's stores, according to a Business Week report.

The switch-up had the potential for harmful effects. The vegan salad contained soy and the chicken salad contained eggs, two potentially harmful allergens for some consumers.

No one became ill from the mistake, and the salads were immediately recalled, the magazine reported.
