Scott Health & Safety Receives 2-Million Hour Safety Award

The North Carolina Department of Labor presented it in recognition of that achievement at the company's Monroe, N.C., manufacturing facility.

Scott Health & Safety, a leading supplier of respiratory equipment and PPE, in particular for the fire service, announced Wednesday that employees of its Monroe, N.C., manufacturing facility have passed 2 million hours without a lost-time accident and have been recognized by the North Carolina Department of Labor. NCDOL awarded the 2-Million Hour Safety Award to the company.

"Scott is very proud that our statistics are well below the industry average and that we have accomplished such a significant task," said Jim Hollingsworth, Environmental Health & Safety manager at Scott Health & Safety. "To date, we have worked 680 days without a loss time accident."

Paul Woodbury, Scott's general manager of Manufacturing, said, "As a safety company, we need to be a leader in providing a safe environment for our employees. We strive to promote a strong culture of safety every day, and with this latest award, it is proof that we are succeeding.
