Annual Fun Run/Walk Logs 'Ks' for IH Cause

As auspicious as AIHce 2009 will be because it marks the 70th anniversary of the conference, this year's event also will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the American Industrial Hygiene Foundation Fun Run/Walk. Proceeds go to the Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting the future of the industrial hygiene profession, so whether you're up to running the 5K through the streets and parks of Toronto or walking 2K of the circuit, be sure to bring the appropriate footwear and register for the fun.

The starting gun will go off at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 2. Prior to the race, all participants must stop by the AIHF booth to sign a waiver, obtain a race number, and pick up the official T-shirt.

The fee is $30 in advance and $40 on site at the AIHF booth, located at the Toronto Convention Centre.

If you're not an early riser or don't find running/walking all that fun, you can still support AIHF by purchasing the AIHce 2009 conference pin with a donation of $10. The pins will be available at the AIHF booth.

  • The MGC Simple Plus

    The MGC Simple Plus

The MGC Simple Plus is a simple-to-use, portable multi gas detector that runs continuously for three years without needing to be recharged or routinely calibrated after its initial charge and calibration during manufacturing. The detector reliably tests a worksite’s atmosphere for hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide, oxygen and combustible gases (LEL). Additionally, it is durable enough to withstand the harshest treatment and environments, which is why it has an IP 68 rating. The MGC Simple Plus is also compatible with a variety of accessories, such as Gas Clip Technologies’ new GCT External Pump. Visit gascliptech.com for more information. 3
