Managing the OSHA 300 Log: Correctly describing and recording incidents
Date: Wednesday December 10, 2025 at 2:00pm ET - 1:00pm CT - 11:00am PT
Employers using software programs to keep injury records might overlook OSHA’s PDF packet of the 300 Log. That packet contains instructions and examples on how to record incidents that do not appear in the regulations. It also provides explanations regarding the 300A Annual Summary. This event will summarize and expand on that guidance by describing commonly overlooked items and errors. In addition, we’ll provide key takeaways from some OSHA Letters of Interpretation that answer common subscriber questions.
The presentation will cover the following tips:
- Describe and classify incidents accurately, including when and how to estimate day counts.
- Complete the 300A summary and know when you can skip some calculations.
- Manage incidents that span calendar years or when an employee reports an incident from a previous year.
- Revise the 300 Log when case outcomes change after investigation.
- And much more!
Since this topic generates a lot of questions, we’ll save at least 20 minutes to answer your questions during this event. Register today to reserve your seat!
