The Systems Approach to Safety: Connecting People, Policies, and Performance
Date: Wednesday October 22, 2025 at 2:00pm ET - 1:00pm CT - 11:00am PT
Strong safety programs are built on proven frameworks that connect policies, people, and performance. This webinar introduces you to a systems-based approach to safety, guided by the ANSI/ASSP Z10 standard, a leading voluntary consensus standard that exceeds many state OSHA program requirements, including California’s IIPP and Minnesota’s AWAIR.
Organizations that adopt this systems-based approach don’t just comply with regulations; they embed safety into their culture, reduce incidents, and strengthen workforce confidence. By the end of this session, you’ll walk away with a practical roadmap to design, implement, and continuously improve your safety program.
Learning Objectives:
- The Value Proposition: Understand the ROI that a safety system delivers.
- Systems Thinking in Safety: Apply structured methods to drive lasting improvements.
- Roles & Responsibilities: Define clear ownership at every level of the organization.
- Performance Measurement: Set benchmarks, track progress, and ensure accountability.
- Risk Management: Address subcontractor risks and evaluate internal and external factors.
- Beyond Compliance: Explore how ANSI/ASSP Z10 goes further than OSHA requirements for sustainable safety excellence.
