Managing Multiple Hazards – Secondary Flame-Resistant Protective Apparel
Date: Tuesday September 24, 2024 at 2:00pm ET - 1:00pm CT - 11:00am PT
Workers facing multiple hazards often require specialized personal protective flame-resistant (FR) garment ensembles for protection. This can be the case in refineries, oil & gas, petrochemical plants, laboratories, hazardous maintenance operations, and more where a combination of general safety and chemical hazards that are compounded by dangerous flammable conditions can exist on the jobsite. Despite efforts to engineer out these hazards, some risks may persist— underscoring the importance of multi-hazard personal protective equipment (PPE) as a final safeguard.
Attendees will walk away with (1) an understanding of what secondary flame-resistant protective clothing is, (2) why it is important for different industries, and (3) what DuPont Personal Protection solutions can help solve the challenges associated with:
- The uncertainty of what protective apparel to choose
- Multi-hazard protection against flame hazards, hazardous particulates, and chemical hazards
- Selecting an appropriate ensemble based on a multi-hazard job risk assessment
