Emergency Planning From a Different Perspective

Date: Thursday August 1, 2024 at 2:00pm ET - 1:00pm CT - 11:00am PT

Why prepare? 90% of the population believe an emergency will occur within the next two years but not where they live. OHSA states, “that a workplace emergency is a situation that threatens workers, customers, or the public; disrupts or shuts down operations; or causes physical or environmental damage”. Emergencies may be natural or man-made. In this webinar will discuss the differences between Business Continuity Plans and Emergency Plans. They are not the same, but they do interact with each other.

When disaster strikes, confusion and indecision often take place when we React instead of Proacting.  What is your company’s capability during the first 100 minutes of an incident when local emergency response efforts may be delayed? How do location and resources complicate your emergency plans? I have  4 locations I can use the same emergency plan? Is there a tool I can use to preplan my responses?

Emergencies can create a variety of hazards for workers in the impacted area. Preparing before an emergency incident plays a vital role in ensuring that employers and workers have the necessary equipment, know where to go, and know how to keep themselves safe when an emergency occurs.

In times of crisis, a well-defined plan is the difference between a rapid recovery, a major loss, and the safety of your employees.  Join us on August 1st when we look at Emergency Planning from a different perspective.
