Workplace Violence Prevention – A Total Organizational Effort
Over the last two decades, workplace violence has been in the top five causes of fatalities in the workplace and over 750,000 incidents and injuries affecting employees. Few organizations have formal workplace violence programs, risk assessments, response planning, or trainings. This webinar will explore the changing social and regulatory climate and the necessary steps for organizations to take toward workplace violence prevention and program development including:
- Why certain job functions, industries, situations and locations are more prone to workplace violence
- Proposed OSHA and state-level workplace violence regulation status
- How to quantitatively assess workplace violence risks based upon key factors
- Violence prevention and response strategic development
- How to conduct specific workplace security assessments
- Step-by-step workplace preparedness involving information solutions, technology, training, and exercises
- Case studies on implementing security, training, and data analysis
- Why workplace violence prevention is more effective when it is a total organizational effort
Implementing and improving upon workplace violence policies, programs, and training are often overwhelming for organizations. After this discussion, employers will see that many of their current practices and policies can be leveraged to launch a more mature, multi-functional, and effective violence prevention program.
Whether you are a manager or CEO, your employees and organization could be impacted by workplace violence. Don’t face this risk alone. The content in this webinar can be helpful to CEOs, Safety Officers, EHS Directors, Operations Managers, Human Resources Personnel, Security Managers, Facilities Managers, and employees, all of whom share the risk and the responsibility for addressing and preventing workplace violence.
