It has been 38 years since the Occupational Safety & Health Administration adopted the first Hazard Communication Standard, or HCS, for the manufacturing sector. In the years since the first HCS, OSHA has worked to include nearly all employers and adopt the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) to align the United States with the rest of the world.
This presentation will explore the changes HCS has seen in the last 38 years, as well as what actions employers are required to take to stay in compliance with the Hazard Communication Standard in 2020.
