Noise & the OSHA Hearing Conservation Standard — 2021 Overview
In this webinar, participants will gain a better and more thorough understanding of noise and hearing hazards in the workplace — and how to mitigate potential safety threats.
The presentation will begin with an overview of ear anatomy and hearing loss, the science of audiometry, and the physics of sound. Participants will review OSHA as well as NIOSH and ACGIH noise standards and learn about common noise measurement techniques such as sound-level surveys and dosimetry. The webinar will also cover engineering and administrative controls to mitigate noise exposure and risk, as well as personal hearing protection equipment.
