Keep Your Fall Protection Program Up to Date with Newest ANSI/ASSP Standards
The landscape of the fall protection industry is continuously advancing and changing, and the ANSI/ASSP Z359 standards—or Fall Protection Code—are working to keep up with the evolving technologies and practices. Attendees will learn how recent and forthcoming changes to the standards may impact key aspects of their organization's fall protection program.
The presentation will explain how the standards interrelate and provide insight on recently and soon to-be released standards, including new updates related to full-body harnesses, self-retracting devices and rope access systems. With this information, safety professionals can determine the best strategy for applying the newly released standards to reduce risk for workers at heights.

Thomas Kramer, P.E., C.S.P. – Principal, LJB Inc.
Mr. Kramer is a safety consultant and structural engineer with 25 years of experience. As a dually registered professional engineer and certified safety professional, he has spent much of his career consulting with clients to reduce risk for workers at heights. He specializes in the assessment and design of fall protection systems, as well as fall protection program development and training. Mr. Kramer is Chair of the ANSI/ASSP Z359 Fall Protection Full Committee that develops fall protection consensus standards, and he chairs the ANSI Z359.1 subcommittee. He also serves as the president of the International Society for Fall Protection. He is widely considered to be a thought leader in the fall protection industry, having given more than 200 technical sessions and workshops on the topic.
Dan Henn – VP of Operations, Reliance Fall Protection
Since 2003, Dan has been manufacturing, developing and testing fall protection products. As a result of this experience, utilization of the ANSI/ASSP Z359 Fall Protection Code and interactions with end-user clients, Dan has developed a strong understanding of fall protection subject matter. He has been a member of the ANSI/ASSP Z359 Full Committee since 2011 and is currently serving as the Vice-Chair of Committee. He also chairs the Z359.14 and Z359.17 subgroups.
