Colorado Supplement Makers Ordered to Cease Operations
EonNutra LLC, CDSM LLC, and HABW LLC have been ordered to immediately cease operations.
Three Colorado supplement manufacturers have entered a consent decree of permanent injunction with the U.S. District Court, according to a news release from the FDA. Their owner, Michael Floren, has been ordered to cease business operations immediately.
Floren markets his products on many sites, including sotosupplements.com, deerantlermax.com, warhorselabs.com, primalragenutrition.com, and dnnutrition.com, according to the agency's report.
"Companies that market their products with unproven health claims and also continue to violate manufacturing regulations put consumers' health in jeopardy," said Melinda Plaisier, FDA associate commissioner for regulatory affairs. "The FDA will take the enforcement actions necessary to protect consumers from this undue risk."
Over the course of four inspections since 2012, the FDA determined the products were misbranded and unapproved new drugs despite being marketed with such claims. Some products said they could treat high cholesterol, hypertension, diabetes, depression, and muscle pain.
The inspection also found the businesses were manufacturing and distributing misbranded and adulterated dietary supplements.
