AIHA Announces New International Noise Hazards Course

“W503 Noise - Measurement and its Effects” will provide registrants with a better appreciation of the nature of noise hazards in the workplace and the effects of noise on people, noted AIHA.

The American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), in partnership with GE, will present a new international course this November in Shanghai, China, titled “W503 Noise - Measurement and its Effects.” This intermediate-level course will be taught in Mandarin by senior industrial hygienist experts Lan (Ellen) Liu and Ye (Mark) Ding.

AIHA, an authorized provider of OHLearning, is offering this new course as a follow-up to the successful 2010 course, “W501 Measurement of Hazardous Substances.” Both courses are part of a larger international certification offered by OHLearning.

“W503 Noise - Measurement and its Effects” will provide registrants with a better appreciation of the nature of noise hazards in the workplace and the effects of noise on people, noted AIHA. This course will teach registrants to implement good practices using new skills, tools, and guidance for selecting equipment. Additionally, attendees will learn to perform assessments and determine the significance of measurement data. Finally, the course will aid in participants interpretation and understanding of various compliance standards and legislation, so they may positively impact and improve worker health and safety.

Registration for the course is now open at www.aiha.org/International.
