A+A 2015 Already Larger Than 2013 Event

A+A 2015 has about 699,650 square feet of booked space and will occupy nine halls when it takes place Oct. 27-30 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany, Messe Düsseldorf North America announced.

Nine months before it begins, the footprint of A+A 2015, International Trade Fair with Congress for Safety, Security and Health at Work, has exceeded the size of the 2013 show. Messe Düsseldorf North America, based in Chicago, announced Jan. 22 that A+A 2015 has about 699,650 square feet of booked space and will occupy nine halls when it takes place Oct. 27-30 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

A+A 2013 exhibitors filled approximately 653,300 square feet.

"In recent years, A+A has been able to gradually extend its leading international market position through constantly growing exhibitor and visitor numbers, and the current registration levels confirm this trend. This year we are expecting almost 1,800 exhibitors," said Joachim Schäfer, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf.

The event is focused on three segments: personal protection (filling seven halls, including one MDNA has just added), corporate safety (including fire protection and disaster/emergency management), and health at work/corporate health. "On one hand, these three major areas traditionally form the focal points at A+A. But they adapt by keeping up with the changes and requirements in the workplace and taking current trends into account, geared towards the needs of the core target groups from the corporate safety and health management sector," said Birgit Horn, director of A+A 2015. "The corporate health segment is a good example: Every company is only as healthy and efficient as its employees. Modern managers take this seriously and are increasingly investing in corporate health promotion and preventive measures. With the exhibits, congress, and live presentation, A+A is offering an extensive range of corresponding information."

South Korea is the partner country of A+A 2015. According to MDNA, the international A+A Congress generally attracts more than 5,000 participants. It will feature 60 lectures on safety, health, and ergonomics (with simultaneous translation) and will deal with topics such as occupational diseases, personal protective equipment, green jobs and prevention, training and qualification, and auditing and certification.
