The hazard communication standard has been referred to as the “employee right-to-know” since 1983 and soon with the adoption of GHS we might actually begin to refer to it as the “employee right-to-understand standard.

OSHA states; “implementing GHS will enhance worker comprehension, resulting in appropriate handling and use of chemicals”, and their claims are supported by some of the influential safety and health professionals and learned scholars in the world!

OSHA further contends that “the primary benefit of the GHS is to increase the quality and consistency of information provided to workers, employers and chemical users”.

So the big question is this, if your employees do not look at a MSDS because they don’t understand them, don’t like them or because they just don’t think they need to how can we possibly enhance worker comprehension?

We invite you to attend this webinar to witness how several U.S. companies have already incorporated the GHS components to insure that their employees are able to understand how to work more safely with hazardous chemicals.
