Interfolio Launches Online Tenure and Promotion Platform

Interfolio has released an online platform for promotion and tenure committees designed to improve the efficiency, transparency and consistency of the promotion and tenure review process.

Called ByCommittee Promotion & Tenure (P&T), the new platform is an extension of the company's ByCommittee faculty search solution. Features of ByCommittee P&T include:

  • Customizable packet requirements and case review steps;
  • The ability to add summaries and external evaluations to packets; and
  • Built-in institutional and legal compliance;
  • The ability for committee members to access materials anytime from an Internet-connected device.

"After the success of ByCommittee Faculty Search, we immediately turned our attention to the frustrations endemic in promotion and tenure committees," said Steve Goldenberg, CEO at Interfolio, in a prepared statement. "The Interfolio team spent over 18 months working side-by-side with committee chairs, senior administrators, and candidates to uncover every pain point and potential hindrance to the promotion and tenure review process."
