Training is the number one solution for curing the ignorance of construction safety (some workers just do not know how to work safely), indifference to correcting observed and reported hazards, and indifference that turns into intentional disregard of the OSHA requirements. This session will cover OSHA construction industry regulations, the leading causes of construction fatalities in Texas and nationally, and how to overcome the lack of education and training, indifference (poor attitude or lack of experience), and intentional acts that increase risks on the job site. The presenter will recommend that the architects and engineers who perform construction administration services should be OSHA trained and report any hazards they observe.
