The Challenges of Workplace Testing & Drug Hazards Amid COVID-19

The challenges facing businesses amid COVID-19 have moved them into what many are calling "the new normal." Yet, challenges from the past continue to persist causing businesses to adjust to them in new ways. COVID-19 and its associated health concerns, social distancing requirements and the mandated shutdown of manufacturing plants, retail stores, restaurants, bars, and a host of others industries across the country, has caused a very unique and dangerous confluence of events to occur.
On one hand, there is an increased level of stress and anxiety amongst employees associated with fears brought about by COVID-19. They are concerned about themselves, their elderly family members who may be high-risk, and their children going back to school. On the other hand, with businesses shutting down across the country, some closing their doors forever, periodic episodes of limited access to household staple goods (i.e. toilet paper or cleaning supplies), increased unemployment, financial instability and insecurity, and a lack of social interaction and contact, there is an increasing number of people who are falling victim to substance abuse.
This free webinar will examine the unique challenges COVID-19 has forced businesses to confront and will highlight what to look for in their employees -- especially their remote workforces as it relates to substance abuse -- and what steps to take to address these challenge amid COVID-19.
