Hugh Hoagland Presents: COVID-19 Cloth Face Coverings, Respirators and Worker Protection Related to Arc Flash and Flash Fire
Coronavirus, or COVID-19, has changed the way we all work and view safety. This is no different in the electrical safety field. The additional layers of PPE to protect against the virus are actually posing more hazards than necessary to those who are often exposed to arc flashes or other electrical hazards.
This webinar will explore the arc flash exposure of cloth face coverings and respirators. The presentation will also review changes in ASTM F1506 and NFPA 2112 related to cloth face coverings and guidance on labeling these new devices. Common concerns for laundering PPE and protecting workers related to the crisis will also be discussed as well as the new CDC driven ASTM standard proposal and other initiatives to protect workers amid the pandemic.
