Fall Protection: Real World Training and Equipment Needed to Protect Your Workers
Fall Protection leads OSHA’s Top 10 List of the most frequently cited violations for fiscal year 2019. OSHA publishes this list each year so employers are aware that far too many preventable injuries occur at worksites most commonly from the lack of, or no, fall protection and the absence of properly trained personnel, Authorized Person(s), who work from heights and who wear or use fall protection equipment.
In this webinar, we will discuss (i) the “Authorized Person” and OSHA 1910.130 training requirements for Authorized Person(s); (ii) the hierarchy of fall protection, eliminating the hazard, passive system, fall restraint, fall arrest and administrative control, (iii) the basic principles of fall protection including primary vs secondary protection and rescue and descent, leading edge vs sharp edge, and (iv) the latest equipment available to ensure Authorized Persons are fully protected before working in a hazardous environment .
By attending this webinar, attendees will:
1. Understand the definition of an Authorized Person and the real world training required
2. Understand the hierarchy and the basic principles of fall protection
3. Become knowledgeable on the newest fall protection technology
