By June 1, 2015, all manufacturers, importers, and employers must be ready for GHS -- they must comply with new label requirements and Safety Data Sheets by that deadline. OSHA revised its Hazard Communication Standard in 2012 to require employers to adhere to elements of the Globally Harmonized System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals, setting deadlines for worker training and for the labels and SDSs, along with new requirements for information the labels must include: signal words, hazard statements, pictograms, and more.

This presentation will discuss this fast-approaching deadline and the GHS implementation problems many workplace safety and health professionals are encountering.
