Most Common OSHA Violations & How to Avoid Them

There are a few standards that have dominated the most frequently cited standards list for years. In this episode, Editor Sydny Shepard breaks a few of them down and explains how to avoid being cited.

If you’ve been in the safety and health industry for a while, you are familiar with OSHA Top 10 Most Frequently Cited Standards list. Each year, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration announces the top 10 standards that have received the most citations in the last year.

For the past several years, the top 10 have been the same standards. While some of them move up and down the list, some have stayed in the same spot for over a decade. Due to this, OSHA inspectors tend to look for hazards and risks associated with the top 10 the most on inspections.

On this episode, which is part one of a two part series we are doing over the next week, we are going to walk through the top 10 most frequently cited standards list and talk about what you can be doing to ensure that your company is staying safe and compliant.
