OSHA Publishes New Frequently Asked Questions About Reporting Coronavirus Cases

The FAQs also relieve Winder Nursing Inc. in Georgia of a coronavirus related citation.

OSHA published new frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding the reporting of work-related coronavirus cases on September 30.

More specifically, the FAQs address the need to report employees’ in-patient hospitalizations and fatalities. They give employers information to help apply the agency’s requirements for injury and illness reporting specific to the coronavirus as well as clarify the meaning of “incident” in these cases.

With the introduction of the new FAQs, OSHA has withdrawn its citation against Winder Nursing Inc. in Winder, Georgia for COVID-19 violations.

OSHA’s COVID-19 webpage is a resource for those seeking more information on the department’s guidelines.
