First 2017 Campbell Award Deadline Only Three Months Away

The National Safety Council presented the 2016 Robert W. Campbell Award to USG Corporation at this year's annual conference.

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- One of the highlights of the 2016 National Safety Congress & Expo here was the presentation of the 2016 Robert W. Campbell Award to USG Corporation. Dominic Dannessa, executive vice president and chief operations and innovation officer for USG, accepted the award at the conference and gave a short speech at the opening general session thanking all of the company's worldwide employees for their safety commitment.

USG is the 15th recipient of the Campbell Award, which was established in 2004 and is presented by the council and Exxon Mobil Corporation. It recognizes organizations that achieve excellence through the integration of environmental, health, and safety management in business operations.

Deadlines for the 2017 award, which will be presented during the 2016 NSC conference (Sept. 23-29, 2017, in Indianapolis), are coming up fast. Letters of intent to enter must be submitted by Feb. 1, 2017. The deadline for submittal packets is May 1, 2017.

There are two categories: Category I, for organizations with more than 1,000 workers, and Category II, for organizations with 1,000 or fewer workers.
