Session Spotlights Hearing Conservation, Ear Plug Fit Testing
Some of this year's 120 technical sessions at NSC's Congress in Orlando are more technical than others. Joined by Kevin Michael, president of Michael & Associates Inc., and moderator Jerry Elvin Rivera, director of safety for the National Electrical Contractors Association, Witt and Schulz presented "Hear Tomorrow: A Personalized Approach to Hearing Conservation." The session delved into the recent advances in ear plug fit testing and in-ear dosimetry and how the precise and personalized data derived from such measures are the key to a successful hearing conservation program. The experts detailed the newest hearing protection devices available and how they can help safety managers develop and refine their hearing safety efforts.
