NSC Presents Mine Safety Training Webinar
Education and training are crucial to the reduction of mining accidents and illnesses, but what are the best methods, equipment, and techniques to help miners and operators work smart and safe? In answer to that question, leading mine experts from the National Safety Council and MSHA will share readily accessible technical programs, classroom training, and engineering solutions to mitigate workplace hazards in an upcoming webinar.
Presented by NSC, "Training Resources for Mine Safety - Going Beyond Business as Usual," will take place on Oct. 23, 2007, at 1-2 p.m. CDT, and will feature speakers Jeff Duncan, Director, Directorate of Educational Policy and Development for MSHA, and Ben Hart, Mine Safety Training Program, Florida Dept. of Environmental Protection. The program will look at future safety advancements, discuss MSHA's Mine Safety Academy, and more. Price of attendance is $75 for NSC members and $125 for non-members.
